Overview
Initial Launch
In 2025, I partnered with the Redbrook Advisory Committee to design and launch a secure, residents-only website that would serve as the central hub for communication within the community. The goal was clarity, accessibility, and transparency — giving residents a single destination for updates, resources, and engagement. From structured membership access to streamlined blog updates and communication tools, the platform was built to foster connection and trust from day one. What began as a website launch quickly became the foundation for an ongoing digital partnership rooted in thoughtful strategy and consistent evolution.
Overview
Redbrook is a vibrant residential community seeking to foster communication, transparency, and connection between its residents and the Redbrook Advisory Committee (RAC). Before the website launch, there was no central platform to share updates, answer questions, or distribute important committee communications. Residents relied on scattered emails, word of mouth, and social media posts that often left many out of the loop.
The Redbrook Advisory Committee approached us to develop a digital solution that would streamline communication and create a reliable, user-friendly home for community updates.
The Challenge
Redbrook needed:
A secure, residents-only website for sharing RAC updates and announcements
A membership system that allowed residents to sign up and access exclusive content
A way to post newsletters, meeting notes, and blog-style updates
Tools for managing committee communications and responding to resident questions
Ongoing support to ensure the site continues to serve the community effectively
The RAC wanted a platform that was easy for both residents and committee members to use — something professional and polished, yet simple to maintain.
Our Solution
We built a custom Wix website tailored to the unique needs of the Redbrook community. Key features include:
Private Member Portal: Only registered residents can access certain pages, like newsletters and meeting summaries.
Blog & News Feed: Committee members can post updates directly through a simple blog editor.
Resident Sign-Up Workflow: A streamlined system for new members to request access, verified on the back end for privacy and security.
Mobile Optimization: Designed for use on phones, tablets, and desktops, ensuring accessibility for all residents.
Simple Content Management: Committee members are empowered to post updates, with ongoing support for formatting and distribution.
The design reflects the Redbrook brand while maintaining clarity, accessibility, and functionality across all devices.
Post-Launch Support
After launch, we continued our partnership with the RAC to ensure long-term success through:
Weekly Monitoring & Reporting: Tracking new member sign-ups, blog activity, and high-traffic pages
Content Support: Editing and formatting blog posts, publishing community newsletters, and sending email blasts
Resident Engagement: Helping boost visibility through strategic email outreach and prompts to sign up
Technical Updates & Maintenance: Keeping the site running smoothly and adapting it as new needs arise
We also serve as the RAC’s point of contact for any questions or updates they’d like to share. Whether it’s publishing a new policy, sharing meeting reminders, or creating contact forms for resident feedback — we’re here to make it happen.
The Results
Since launch, the Redbrook website has become a trusted community hub:
Hundreds of resident sign-ups within the first few months
Email blasts consistently drive traffic spikes and encourage new registrations
The Newsletter and Blog pages remain the most visited, signaling high community interest in ongoing updates
RAC members are now confident and capable of posting on their own, supported with flexible backup when needed
Conclusion
By building a platform designed around clarity, access, and collaboration, we helped Redbrook transform community communication. The site continues to grow alongside the community, with ongoing support that keeps residents informed, engaged, and connected.
2026 Website Refresh
Since its initial launch, the Redbrook website has evolved from a digital resource into the primary communication hub for the community.
Measurable Adoption
75% of Redbrook residents are now registered site members
100% of residents are subscribed to the RAC mailing list
The website has become the central destination for updates, events, and community information
This level of adoption reflects more than good design — it reflects trust, clarity, and consistent communication.
Beyond Launch: A True Communication Partnership
Sullivan Design doesn’t simply design and develop websites. We help organizations use their websites as active communication platforms.
For Redbrook, this includes:
Managing all RAC email communications
Writing and publishing blog updates
Assisting with clear messaging around community initiatives
Ensuring residents stay informed on important updates
The website is not static — it’s an evolving system that supports transparency and connection.
Strategic Enhancements Since Launch
As the community’s needs have grown, so has the platform.
1. Enhanced Navigation
The site navigation has been refined across desktop, tablet, and mobile to create a more intuitive browsing experience. Clearer pathways and streamlined structure make information easier to find — especially for residents accessing the site quickly from their phones.
2. Dedicated Events Page
A newly added Events page allows residents to:
View upcoming community events
Confirm attendance
Stay connected to neighborhood activities
Trash pickup schedules are now displayed within the calendar, and residents can set reminders — reducing confusion and increasing reliability.
3. Revamped Directory
The updated Directory page features refined layouts and improved organization, making it easier for residents to find:
Community Advisors
Neighborhood Liaisons
Key contact information
Accessibility and clarity were central to this redesign.
4. Simplified Community Feedback
Over the past two months, we’ve further streamlined the process for residents to submit community-related feedback. Clearer guidance and improved form structure ensure submissions are relevant and actionable — strengthening the relationship between residents and the RAC.
The Result
The Redbrook website is no longer just an information repository. It is:
A trusted communication channel
A centralized event hub
A structured feedback system
A growing digital infrastructure supporting the community
